Government Imposes 24-hour Curfew In Adamawa State

The Federal government of Nigeria has imposed a 24-hour curfew in Adamawa State following yesterday’s killing of twenty Igbo men attending a town hall meeting in Mubi, Adamawa State. The attack was carried out by suspected members of the Boko Haram terrorist group.

Also yesterday, another attack occurred in Yola, the capital of Adamawa state.

The 24-hour curfew is the latest attempt by the government to get control the spiraling violence that has taken over most of the Northern parts of Nigeria.

With the curfew, citizens are not allowed to move around the state as government has mobilized security operatives to patrol the state.
