Despite previous reports that he would be traveling to North Carolina for a show yesterday, Rick Ross remains in Birmingham, Alabama this morning where he has been since suffering a second seizure on Friday evening.
A source working with the Maybach Music Group tells BOSSIP exclusively that as of last night, Ross had yet to be cleared for travel, but is listed in stable condition. The source reports that Ross has asked the entire MMG camp to keep the details of his care and condition as quiet as possible. The team won’t even reveal whether he is still in a Birmingham hospital.
Following Ross’ first seizure on Friday during a commercial flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Memphis, several MMG artists tweeted to reassure fans that Ross was fine and there was no reason to panic. But since Ross himself tweeted a video before making a second attempt to travel to Memphis and subsequently suffering a second seizure, there has been almost no talk of his health on Twitter from anyone within the MMG family.
The only possible hint that things still aren’t 100% with the “Boss” and his health came from Atlanta-based DJ Scream, one of the latest additions to the MMG family, who tweeted Saturday afternoon:
Rick Ross was scheduled to perform at the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina for North Carolina A&T State University’s homecoming, but reportedly cancelled just one hour before the show was supposed to start. DJ Khaled and Marsha Ambrosius, who were also on the bill, performed as schedule.
Rick Ross’ next scheduled appearance is slated for Friday, October 21st at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, after which he is scheduled to perform in L.A. with Busta Rhymes on the following Sunday.
No word yet as to whether these performances will go on as planned.
