Hypocritical Animal Rights Group Brings Pet Death Toll To 27,751

Today the nonprofit Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) published documents online, obtained by a Freedom of Information Act request, showing that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) killed a staggering 95.9 percent of the adoptable pets in its care during 2011. Despite years of public outrage over its euthanasia program, the notorious animal rights group has continued killing adoptable animals at its Norfolk, VA headquarters, at an average of 37 pets every week.

According to the Hall County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened when two teenage brothers on a family outing attempted to swim from the shore to an island about 60 yards away.

The older brother made it to the other side, but younger one struggled, authorities said.

Sentencing In Beanie Sigel Tax Fraud Case Postponed

Beanie Sigel may be making a comeback in music, following recent news of a record deal with EMI and a joint project with Scarface. However, things may have to be put on hold, because he's got some prison time coming up.

The rapper (real name: Dwight Grant) was scheduled to be sentenced last November, but then, it was pushed to Thursday (April 12). However, Sigel's sentencing as been postponed.

During a hearing on Thursday, Beans' sentencing on federal tax charges were pushed to July 12, 212.

His defense attorneys told U.S. District Judge Jan DuBois, that their client hadn't supplied the financial information requested by a probation officer, and had not allowed a home visit by the officer.

So, for now, he has some time. However, Sigel has until April 26 to surrender additional financial documents in a bid to solve the dispute.

Sigel pleaded guilty to tax evasion charges last August, for failing to pay taxes on earnings between 2003 to 2005.

He could face up to three years in prison, if convicted.

Argentina's "Miracle Baby" takes turn for the worse

A baby declared stillborn and then later found alive by her parents at a morgue in Argentina was in critical condition on Friday after taking a turn for the worse overnight, a hospital official said.

Doctors told Analia Bouter that her baby was stillborn when she gave birth in Argentina's northern Chaco province at the start of the month.

Florida woman arrested while pooping on highway

The Florida Highway Patrol said a woman spotted defecating next to a car on Interstate 95 was arrested on charges including vehicle theft.

Investigators said a trooper spotted a woman squatting next to a stopped vehicle with her pants down April 7 on northbound Interstate 95, just 6 miles south of the St. Lucie County Rest Area, and asked the woman what she was doing.

The woman, who gave her name as Mellisa Mansfield, 31, told the trooper she was going to the bathroom. Mansfield told the trooper she did not have her driver's license with her and investigators determined she was driving without a license.

The highway patrol said they also discovered the vehicle the woman was using had been reported stolen from Key West.

Mansfield was arrested on charges including indecent exposure, vehicle theft and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
