Lil Wayne Says He's Never Heard "Watch The Throne," Isn't Satisfied With Nicki Minaj.

Weezy says he will "probably never hear" Jay-Z and Kanye West's collaborative LP. Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne was one of the biggest urban releases of the year, but it managed to pass by Lil Wayne. In his cover story for VIBE, Weezy was to-the-point about listening to the LP, claiming he’s never heard it and has no plans to do so.

“I haven’t heard the album. I’ll probably never hear the album,” he said.

He also had a few words to share about his Young Money rapstress Nicki Minaj, stating that he isn’t satisfied with anything she’s accomplished and has faith that she’ll continue to grow as an artist.

“I'm not satisfied with anything she's done,” he said. “I believe she can do a whole lot more, and I believe she will do a whole lot more. It's not shocking, and it's not surprising. It's quite fitting. But other than that, it's nowhere near the end."

Oil Subsidy Is Fiction

Professor Tam David-West, Petroleum Minister during the era of General Muhammadu Buhari, and Mines, Power and Steel in the General Ibrahim Babangida government, spoke with GBENRO ADESINA (of TheNEWS) on the controversy over oil subsidy removal

For the layman on the street, does oil subsidy exist?

There is no oil subsidy in Nigeria. It is a lie and fraud. After the regime of General Buhari, I challenged government after government, from General Ibrahim Babangida and Chief Ernest Shonekan to General Olusegun Obasanjo and President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, to appear on national television with me to justify their subsidy.

Let me introduce you to the basics. Let us say a particular commodity like gari is sold for N10 per bag hypothetically and the farmers are producing to make us self-sufficient at N10. But at a time, they can’t produce enough because of either bad harvest or natural causes, the government now says since garri is a staple food, the government goes to another country where gari is produced and buys it at N20 per bag and brings it to Nigeria to sell at N10 per bag. The government now writes off the extra N10 –– that is subsidy. The extra N10 the government pays on behalf of the people for them to still buy at N10 is the subsidy paid on that commodity.

No government should exist if it can’t serve the people because government is a trust. They are trustees for the people. Edmund Burke, the great British philosopher, said that government is a contrivance of human wisdom and the wisdom should be used to satisfy people’s needs. Any government that can’t satisfy the need of its people is irrelevant and must be overthrown and kicked out.

Coming to petroleum, there is no oil subsidy. Oil subsidy in Nigeria is fiction, it doesn’t exist and it is a fraud. During Buhari’s time, we had three refineries. When necessary, I mean, whenever there was shortage of oil, we embarked on offshore processing. If at a time, the production of oil couldn’t satisfy our needs, we selected oil companies like Shell and others that we would give crude oil to refine abroad, sell at foreign exchange and pay to our account. We got quantum of barrels of crude oil and gave to these companies and after they might have refined it, let’s say they got one million litres and we needed only 200 litres, they would give us the quantity we wanted and sell the remaining and give us foreign exchange. We only took our fuel back, never imported fuel.

This time what do they do? These fraudulent people will take our oil, refine it and bring it back and sell it at foreign exchange. This is fraud in the highest places. Why is it that during Buhari era, with three refineries we were self sufficient but at their time, with four refineries we are now importing fuel?

I personally signed the contract of the fourth refinery which we call new Port Harcourt Refinery in 1984. It was one of the best in Africa, with a capacity of 160,000 barrels per day. The first refinery, in Port Harcourt, was built in 1965; Warri refinery in 1978, and Kaduna refinery in 1980. A newly constructed refinery can’t have major problem for about 30 years. The problem they will not tell you is that after Buhari, every Minister and Head of State became an oil sheikh, except General Abdulsalami Abubakar.

Some ministers have petrol stations and oil blocs. You can’t serve the nation and serve yourself at the same time because you can’t serve two masters at a time. One must serve his country and the dividends of doing this is satisfaction. Total capacity of our four refineries is 445,000 barrels per day. If the refineries are working even at 80 per cent, we will have more than enough product. They did not do that but sabotaged our refineries.

I have been shouting since 1995 and I wrote that they are killing Nigeria and poor men. And in 2009, the House of Representatives corroborated me by saying that refineries were sabotaged. Abdulsalami as head of state, reacting to the state of our refineries, said he didn’t want to open a box of scandal. Why did they do this to the common man? Who are the importers? Big people!

A senator said this year, Nigeria spends N860 million on fuel importation and they projected that by the end of the year, over N1 trillion will be spent on importation of fuel when our budget is N4.3 trillion. Insanity! Dan Etete said they needed $250 million to repair the refineries but the same minister said Nigeria is importing fuel at $900 million. Is that not insanity? If you need this huge amount of money to repair refineries, why don’t you build new refineries? The money you are using to import, use it to build refineries.

Why do you think Obasanjo did not repair the four refineries we had and build four extra for petroleum to be sold at N20 as he analysed when he was in power?

Olusegun Obasanjo is a great liar. They will not do so in order to continue to import fuel for selfish reasons.

Is it true that Nigeria has the lowest prices of refined products among oil producing countries?

Forget Jonathan! He doesn’t understand what he is saying. He is only parroting what they told him. He talks like a parrot. Can he remove what doesn’t exist? Can’t we build our own refineries to serve us and remove the untold hardship they want to impose on us? Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said the subsidy goes to the wrong hands. If they remove it, will people not suffer the more? Everything will increase. The new minimum wage of N18,000 will become N2,000.

But Obasanjo said because it is built in phases, it will take about five years to build a refinery?

It is a lie. I told you Obasanjo is a liar. It took just two years to build the fourth refinery. I signed its contract. It is between two and three years. The problem is that there is intellectual laziness and physical indolence. In developed countries, the president will not just talk without being well quizzed. But in Nigeria, at a media chat once, Obasanjo shouted on journalists or talked to them as a teacher. They kept quiet. It doesn’t take five years to build a refinery.

Okonjo-Iweala talked about cushioning the effect of the removal of oil subsidy?

Rubbish! She is sermonising to seduce people to accept the callous oil subsidy removal. Things she promised are palliative, nobody should agree. Labour and Nigerians should make it impossible because you don’t take away what doesn’t exist. We don’t need oil subsidy to build roads, provide water and electricity; vote for capital projects has taken care of that. Degrees don’t guarantee good governance.

Can a school certificate holder rule a nation?

Yes and very well. What degree does Shehu Shagari and Balewa have? School teachers. Winston Churchill was among the dullest in his class and he became one of the greatest British leaders. Degrees don’t make leaders. Leadership is a natural endowment or one acquires it by hard work.

Jonathan wasn’t born great, he said he was born poor. Rubbish! It is a privilege to be born into a wealthy home. I was born into a wealthy home but one can’t control where God puts you. I tell my son that he should not allow the wealth of his father to go into his head because his minister father could as well be a driver. You don’t regret where you were born. So, I didn’t have shoes or wasn’t born great is rubbish. God is not partial. He does things with reasons.

Being born humble is not an issue. How you articulate your humble situation is the issue. That you are born rich doesn’t say you should look down on people. The problem with Jonathan is that though he has Ph.D, he is a brilliant man, but there is a difference between native intelligence and book intelligence. Jonathan is basically brilliant. The danger in that is that such people whenever somebody like Iweala comes talking, they idolise them like mental geniuses and become internally inferior to them. Whatever they say goes –– garbage in, garbage out. He doesn’t have the stamina to challenge them.

For a prince to be advised wisely, he must be wise too. Iweala is not the most brilliant economist. There are hundreds of people more brilliant than she is. Pius Okigbo and Ojetunji Aboyade, they served the nation meritoriously. She is working with somebody psychologically inferior and she will lead him into a ditch. She talks like the president. She once said that government would not negotiate with the Niger Delta militants. Did they not negotiate later? She was paid in dollars when she served in Obasanjo’s cabinet and her monthly pay was N2.8 million and now she is saying oil subsidy is killing the economy. Hypocrite!

If you know that what you are doing is right, convince people in arguments, facts and figures, not by sermonisation. Now, they have hired consultants with millions of naira to convince Nigeria to accept their rubbish. It was done during Shonekan’s time when a Nigerian was given N20mn for public relations job. He collapsed. They have started again. Please, Senators, Honourables of the House of Representatives, throw out this bill. Don’t think and say we are safe in Nigeria. There could be corporate protest here, just like what is happening in the Arab world. If you do anything that will make Nigerians suffer more, they will go on the streets because the suffering is already too much. I can afford things but millions of Nigerians that form the majority cannot. They should know that government is not about commissioning or investment and profits. Government should have moral dimension. Any government that disregards the moral dimension, that is, respect of God, God will punish such for making Nigerians to suffer.

How do you react to the fact that governors have endorsed it and labour has tactically endorsed it with conditions?

All that is nonsense. NLC should represent the masses well. NLC should not give any condition for the consideration of the removal of oil subsidy. Government has ways of compromising labour. When things are hot, they can approach them with millions and buy them over and they will start to talk with double tongues. NLC should be firm. The government should publish the names of those that are importing fuel and government should sign that if it is removed and the effects are not felt between three and six months, then we must dissolve the present government. If they remove oil subsidy, l will lead a protest. I will organise students for demonstration.

Do you still have faith in Nigeria?

My dear young man, if I don’t have faith in Nigeria, I will not be talking to you. I still have faith in Nigeria. To keep Nigeria as one is a task that must be done. We should differentiate between metaphysical Nigeria and political Nigeria. Nigeria is a great country blessed by God. The way we are going, the political Nigeria will destroy the metaphysical Nigeria. Most of those in government are rogues and thieves. They love themselves more than Nigeria. Every Nigerian owes Nigeria more than what Nigeria owes him/her. Nigeria will change for better when we have more statesmen than politicians.

Now, we have a bunch of politicians who only think of the next election while a statesman thinks of the future. Nigeria will collapse if we have more politicians than statesmen. Nigeria is a country where a senator is earning more than the President of America. They even buy government houses. They spend billions on cars and they can’t pay N18,000 minimum wage. They have morally crippled the country and the governance. They will be destroyed by God. Nigeria is a great country –– no natural disaster, there are able men and natural resources. But people are still crying, no job, graduates are driving taxis, doing menial jobs. Many now engage in armed robbery because they have to survive. May God bless us with good leaders.

The worst enemy of Buhari says that Buhari is not corrupt and that is the truth. It takes integrity and rigidity not to be corrupt and lead the nation. You don’t lead like Jonathan. God will punish those that are punishing Nigerians and Nigeria. When the poor man weeps, the tears go to heaven and come down with burning fire and consume his enemies. And that is what will happen in Nigeria.

Jim Jones Involved in “Botched Robbery” in Harlem.

After rumors hit the net that Jim Jones was jumped by his former manager, Yandi Smith’s boyfriend on Monday (October 24), the Dipset member tells his side of the story.

Jimmy described the physical altercation as a “botched robbery,” and said he was alone in Harlem when three men stepped to him.

“The first guy, I beat the shit out of him, then the second guy jumped in with a metal pipe. I was so amped up I didn’t even feel him hitting me with it. I was still putting a beating on the first guy, but when the third guy pulled out a gun, I got out of there. I left. Anyone with a brain would do the same.”

Jones pegged the robbery to the fact that he was wearing jewelry while alone in his old neighborhood, adding that it was “a stupid mistake” to do so and vowed that “it won’t happen again.”

Jim said he returned to the studio right after the scuffle to work on his mixtape and that the above photo was taken just minutes after the incident. He also dismissed all rumors that the fight had anything to do with another beef.

Jay-Z, Timbaland Sued for $5 Million Over “Big Pimpin’” Sample

The lawsuit claims that Jay and Timb failed to receive proper sample clearances or pay the proper royalties on the tune…

Jay-Z and Timbaland are being sued for $5 million for a sample illegally used on Hov’s 2000 hit single, “Big Pimpin’,” according to a lawsuit. Ahab Joseph Nafal filed the suit on July 23 in the United States District Court, Central District of California.

According to Allhiphop.com, the legal battle stems from the use of a song titled “Khosara, Khosara,”originally by composer Baligh Hamdy, on the Timbo-produced track off Jay’s Vol. 3 … The Life & Times of S. Carter album. The legal action re-emerged now because lawyers are arguing the track, created in 1957, is governed by a 1909 Copyright Act and not a 1976 Copyright Act. So, although the original lawsuit was dismissed in 2007 after Nafal failed to join all individuals with rights to the composition in the lawsuit, as the 1909 Act mandates, a federal judge ruled in May of this year that the children of Hamdy, who died in 1993, are allowed to continue the lawsuit.

The reason for the pursuit is that it was ruled in a court of law that Jay-Z and Timbaland only obtained “economic rights” for the song, not the proper sample clearance from representatives of Baligh Hamdy, as they had claimed in the earlier lawsuit. Thus, Hamdy’s other children never granted permission to use the sample.

The amended lawsuit re-asserts claims that the pair failed to receive proper sample clearances or pay the proper royalties on the tune. Also named in the suit are Roc-A-Fella Records, Def Jam Records, Warner Music Group and rock act Linkin Park (over a remixed version from their collaborative LP with Jay-Z, Collision Course).—Mariel Concepcion

'Why always me?' - Mario Balotelli and the best T-shirt celebration statements made by footballers.

From Robbie Fowler's solidarity with Liverpool dockworkers to Andres Iniesta's emotional World Cup tribute to Dani Jarque, plenty of stars have used shirts to get a message across

Epl,Sergio Aguero,Manchester United v Manchester City

Manchester City went about making a collective statement of intent with their 6-1 hammering of Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, but it was a personal message from Mario Balotelli that got the ball rolling for Roberto Mancini's men at the Theatre of Dreams.

As a footballer with an almost innate ability to attract headlines on both the front and back pages of the press, it was fitting for the Italian to question his critics in the printed word. After his wonderfully taken 22nd minute strike to break the deadlock, the former Inter man turned and lifted his jersey to reveal a sky blue shirt reading 'Why always me?' - no doubt a nod to the brewing media storm prior to the match after it was revealed that he had set fire to his house in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It was the latest in a long line of occasions that a player has used a message on a shirt to make a point. Below is a list of the most memorable instances.

RED ROBBIE BACKS THE DOCKERS

There was little more Robbie Fowler, otherwise known as God in Liverpool, could do to increase his popularity in the red half Merseyside during the 1990s but his showing of solidarity with striking dockworkers in the city in a European Cup Winners’ Cup win against Brann in March 1997 only served to cement the striker as a Kop hero.

Originally from Toxteth, an area synonymous with the city’s docking community, Fowler unveiled a T-shirt with a fake Calvin Klein logo that read: 'Support the 500 Sacked Dockers'. The forward received a fine worth 2,000 Swiss Francs (£1,400) for his actions.

RECORD-BREAKING WRIGHT GETS IT WRONG

Ever the entertainer, there was no way that Ian Wright was going to celebrate breaking Arsenal’s all-time goalscoring record quietly, but his excitement was to get the better of him at Highbury.

After reaching Cliff Bastin’s total of 178 strikes for the Gunners with a goal against Bolton, Wright lifted his shirt to reveal another, made by Nike, stating: '179 – Just Done It,' despite only equalling the tally. However, another goal shortly after meant that he was able to celebrate properly and he then topped it off with a third to complete his hat-trick. The ex-England striker would go on to reach 185 goals for the Gunners before moving on to join West Ham.

HENRY REMEMBERS HIS ROOTS

So often used as a stick to beat critics with or as a political proclamation, such shirts have been worn by a number of players, but it is with Thierry Henry with whom they've become synonymous.

Another former Arsenal striker, Alan Smith, explained the decision of the Frenchman to display a top making an entirely personal reference to his father's native Guadeloupe, and the island's surrounding area in the Caribbean, stating in The Telegraph: "The message on his T-shirt,`For the West Indies', was a reminder to far-flung relations that he had not forgotten his roots."

It was unveiled in the Gunners' 3-1 win over Manchester United at Highbury in 2001, only a couple of seasons into his time at Arsenal. Six years later and with 226 goals, Henry left north London with Ian Wright's record beaten and as arguably the club's greatest ever player.

MESSI MAKES HIS MARK

Lionel Messi may be the greatest player on Earth but his humility is obvious both on the pitch and off it, as was evidenced in one of the Argentine’s greatest ever performances. In Barcelona’s now famous 6-2 win over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2009, he revealed a shirt reading 'Sindrome X Fragil', the name of a medical condition known in English as Fragile X Syndrome, that leads to emotional, mental and physical problems for its sufferers.

The Camp Nou superstar later explained that he had spent a day with children suffering from the syndrome prior to the game and in the biggest fixture in club football across the world, the diminutive attacker was able to give a relatively unknown issues a huge amount of coverage.

MARCO THE MENACE TAUNTS JUVE

If Balotelli is Manchester City's provocateur-in-chief, then it's possible that the Italian learnt a few tricks in infuriating his opponents from former Inter team-mate Marco Materazzi.

As the Italian side secured a historic treble under Jose Mourinho with a Champions League final victory over Bayern Munich in May 2010, the defender, who came on as a substitute in on the 92nd minute substitute, felt compelled to rub his side's success in the faces of their derby d'Italia rivals Juventus.

Wearing a T-shirt with a picture of the defender holding the Champions League trophy and the words 'Do you want this too?', in reference to Juventus' request for Inter to be stripped of their 2005-06 Serie A title as a result of match-fixing allegations that formed part of the Italian football's Calciopoli scandal.

INIESTA REMEMBERS DANI JARQUE

Likely to go down in the annuls of history as the most poignant celebration of any World Cup final goal, the Barcelona man celebrated his winning strike against the Dutch in the South Africa 2010 showpiece by lifting his shirt to reveal a vest with the message ‘Dani Jarque: Always with us’, in memory of the Espanyol defender who tragically died of a heart attack in 2009.

It was fitting that the midfielder, dubbed the ‘anti-Galactico’ by Camp Nou socios due to his unassuming nature, would detract attention away from himself under the biggest spotlight in the game.

Six months later, the midfielder received the adoration of the Espanyol crowd as Pep Guardiola’s men won 5-1 in a fierce local derby at the Cornella-El Prat stadium and in July this year, the vest was put on display at the ground of Barca’s Catalan rivals.

FIREWORKS FROM BALOTELLI

Mysterious, misunderstood and on the back of an exquisite finish, the 'Why always me' T-shirt summed everything about Mario Balotelli up.

Quite clearly aggrieved with the often undeserved negative attention that comes his way from the media, the young Italian stood defiantly in the face of those that had criticised him in the lead up to the derby at Old Trafford. News that he had set fire to his house by setting off fireworks in his bathroom on Friday night had led many to question the man who has now scored six goals in five games.

Just like the scoreline at the final whistle and the printing on his shirt, Balotelli's answer was loud and clear.

Breaking News: Gaddafi dies of wounds suffered in capture near Sirte: Senior NTC military official

Former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi died of wounds suffered in his capture near his hometown of Sirte on Thursday, a senior NTC military official said.

National Transitional Council official Abdel Majid Mlegta told Reuters earlier that Gaddafi was captured and wounded in both legs at dawn on Thursday as he tried to flee in a convoy which NATO warplanes attacked.

"He was also hit in his head," the official said. "There was a lot of firing against his group and he died."

On The Loose: Lions And Tigers Panic US Town

Lions, tigers and grizzly bears have terrorised a small US town after escaping from a nearby animal park.

The dangerous predators were among almost 50 animals that were reported to be wandering around the rural Ohio town of Zanesville.

They were spotted after the owner of Muskingum County Animal Farm was found dead and the cages unlocked.

"We've got a little bit of a list compiled. Mainly, there were grizzly bears and black bears there. There were cheetahs, there were lions, and there were tigers.

"These were the primary things that we would be concerned with. Any kind of a cat species and any kind of a bear species right now is what we're mainly concerned with," explained Sheriff Matt Lutz.

The police department received panicked calls from people who had spotted the beasts roaming on a nearby highway.

Schools have been ordered to close and residents have been told to stay inside while the hunt continues.

Sheriff Lutz said 25 animals had been killed so far

There have been no reports of any injuries. Officers shot a number of animals when they arrived at the park where they discovered the owner, 62-year-old Terry Thompson, dead and the fences unsecured and cages open.

Mr Thompson had been released from prison three weeks earlier after serving a one-year term for firearms charges, according to the Columbus Dispatch newspaper.

The 40-acre preserve housed large cats, various bears, wolves, giraffes and camels, as well as orangutans and cheetahs, still in their cages.
All 48 of the large animals on the grounds were thought to have escaped.

Tiger
Tigers are among the animals that have been roaming the area

"One of the deputies told me they felt they had shot approximately 25 on the way up to the house to check on Mr Thompson," said Sheriff Lutz.

"So, you know, that number could be high or low, depending. You know, when they're shooting animals in all directions, it's hard to keep track."

Kate Riley, 20, whose family owns a nearby cattle farm, said Mr Thompson would come and take their dead cows to feed his lions.

"He'd have claw marks all over him," she told the newspaper. She added that she believed Mr Thompson's wife had recently left him and moved out.

Staff from the Columbus Zoo and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources were called in to help police handle the situation.

Rick Ross Still Under Observation In Alabama But In Stable Condition

Rick Ross Remains Under Observation In Alabama Following Two Seizures On October 14

Despite previous reports that he would be traveling to North Carolina for a show yesterday, Rick Ross remains in Birmingham, Alabama this morning where he has been since suffering a second seizure on Friday evening.

A source working with the Maybach Music Group tells BOSSIP exclusively that as of last night, Ross had yet to be cleared for travel, but is listed in stable condition. The source reports that Ross has asked the entire MMG camp to keep the details of his care and condition as quiet as possible. The team won’t even reveal whether he is still in a Birmingham hospital.

Following Ross’ first seizure on Friday during a commercial flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Memphis, several MMG artists tweeted to reassure fans that Ross was fine and there was no reason to panic. But since Ross himself tweeted a video before making a second attempt to travel to Memphis and subsequently suffering a second seizure, there has been almost no talk of his health on Twitter from anyone within the MMG family.

The only possible hint that things still aren’t 100% with the “Boss” and his health came from Atlanta-based DJ Scream, one of the latest additions to the MMG family, who tweeted Saturday afternoon:

Maybach Music Group Artist DJ Scream Tweets Prayers For Rick Ross On Day After Suffering Seizure

Rick Ross was scheduled to perform at the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina for North Carolina A&T State University’s homecoming, but reportedly cancelled just one hour before the show was supposed to start. DJ Khaled and Marsha Ambrosius, who were also on the bill, performed as schedule.

Rick Ross’ next scheduled appearance is slated for Friday, October 21st at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, after which he is scheduled to perform in L.A. with Busta Rhymes on the following Sunday.

No word yet as to whether these performances will go on as planned.

9 things you probably didn't know about the life of Steve Jobs

For all of his years in the spotlight at the helm of Apple, Steve Jobs in many ways remains an inscrutable figure — even in his death. Fiercely private, Jobs concealed most specifics about his personal life, from his curious family life to the details of his battle with pancreatic cancer — a disease that ultimately claimed him on Wednesday, at the age of 56.

While the CEO and co-founder of Apple steered most interviews away from the public fascination with his private life, there's plenty we know about Jobs the person, beyond the Mac and the iPhone. If anything, the obscure details of his interior life paint a subtler, more nuanced portrait of how one of the finest technology minds of our time grew into the dynamo that we remember him as today.

1. Early life and childhood
Jobs was born in San Francisco on February 24, 1955. He was adopted shortly after his birth and reared near Mountain View, California by a couple named Clara and Paul Jobs. His adoptive father — a term that Jobs openly objected to — was a machinist for a laser company and his mother worked as an accountant.

Later in life, Jobs discovered the identities of his estranged parents. His birth mother, Joanne Simpson, was a graduate student at the time and later a speech pathologist; his biological father, Abdulfattah John Jandali, was a Syrian Muslim who left the country at age 18 and reportedly now serves as the vice president of a Reno, Nevada casino. While Jobs reconnected with Simpson in later years, he and his biological father remained estranged.

2. College dropout
Reed College
The lead mind behind the most successful company on the planet never graduated from college, in fact, he didn't even get close. After graduating from high school in Cupertino, California — a town now synonymous with 1 Infinite Loop, Apple's headquarters — Jobs enrolled in Reed College in 1972. Jobs stayed at Reed (a liberal arts university in Portland, Oregon) for only one semester, dropping out quickly due to the financial burden the private school's steep tuition placed on his parents.

In his famous 2005 commencement speech to Stanford University, Jobs said of his time at Reed: "It wasn't all romantic. I didn't have a dorm room, so I slept on the floor in friends' rooms, I returned coke bottles for the 5 cent deposits to buy food with, and I would walk the seven miles across town every Sunday night to get one good meal a week at the Hare Krishna temple."

3. Fibbed to his Apple co-founder about a job at Atari
Breakout for the Atari
Jobs is well known for his innovations in personal computing, mobile tech, and software, but he also helped create one of the best known video games of all-time. In 1975, Jobs was tapped by Atari to work on the Pong-like game Breakout.

He was reportedly offered $750 for his development work, with the possibility of an extra $100 for each chip eliminated from the game's final design. Jobs recruited Steve Wozniak (later one of Apple's other founders) to help him with the challenge. Wozniak managed to whittle the prototype's design down so much that Atari paid out a $5,000 bonus — but Jobs kept the bonus for himself, and paid his unsuspecting friend only $375, according to Wozniak's own autobiography.

4. The wife he leaves behind
Like the rest of his family life, Jobs kept his marriage out of the public eye. Thinking back on his legacy conjures images of him commanding the stage in his trademark black turtleneck and jeans, and those solo moments are his most iconic. But at home in Palo Alto, Jobs was raising a family with his wife, Laurene, an entrepreneur who attended the University of Pennsylvania's prestigious Wharton business school and later received her MBA at Stanford, where she first met her future husband.

For all of his single-minded dedication to the company he built from the ground up, Jobs actually skipped a meeting to take Laurene on their first date: "I was in the parking lot with the key in the car, and I thought to myself, 'If this is my last night on earth, would I rather spend it at a business meeting or with this woman?' I ran across the parking lot, asked her if she'd have dinner with me. She said yes, we walked into town and we've been together ever since."In 1991, Jobs and Powell were married in the Ahwahnee Hotel at Yosemite National Park, and the marriage was officiated by Kobin Chino, a Zen Buddhist monk.

5. His sister is a famous author
Later in his life, Jobs crossed paths with his biological sister while seeking the identity of his birth parents. His sister, Mona Simpson (born Mona Jandali), is the well-known author of Anywhere But Here — a story about a mother and daughter that was later adapted into a film starring Natalie Portman and Susan Sarandon.

After reuniting, Jobs and Simpson developed a close relationship. Of his sister, he told a New York Times interviewer: "We're family. She's one of my best friends in the world. I call her and talk to her every couple of days.'' Anywhere But Here is dedicated to "my brother Steve."

6. Celebrity romances
Joan Baez
In The Second Coming of Steve Jobs, an unauthorized biography, a friend from Reed reveals that Jobs had a brief fling with folk singer Joan Baez. Baez confirmed the the two were close "briefly," though her romantic connection with Bob Dylan is much better known (Dylan was the Apple icon's favorite musician). The biography also notes that Jobs went out with actress Diane Keaton briefly.

7. His first daughter
When he was 23, Jobs and his high school girlfriend Chris Ann Brennan conceived a daughter, Lisa Brennan Jobs. She was born in 1978, just as Apple began picking up steam in the tech world. He and Brennan never married, and Jobs reportedly denied paternity for some time, going as far as stating that he was sterile in court documents. He went on to father three more children with Laurene Powell. After later mending their relationship, Jobs paid for his first daughter's education at Harvard. She graduated in 2000 and now works as a magazine writer.

8. Alternative lifestyle
In a few interviews, Jobs hinted at his early experience with the psychedelic drug LSD. Of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Jobs said: "I wish him the best, I really do. I just think he and Microsoft are a bit narrow. He'd be a broader guy if he had dropped acid once or gone off to an ashram when he was younger."

The connection has enough weight that Albert Hofmann, the Swiss scientist who first synthesized (and took) LSD, appealed to Jobs for funding for research about the drug's therapeutic use.

In a book interview, Jobs called his experience with the drug "one of the two or three most important things I have done in my life." As Jobs himself has suggested, LSD may have contributed to the "think different" approach that still puts Apple's designs a head above the competition.

Jobs will forever be a visionary, and his personal life also reflects the forward-thinking, alternative approach that vaulted Apple to success. During a trip to India, Jobs visited a well-known ashram and returned to the U.S. as a Zen Buddhist.

Jobs was also a pescetarian who didn't consume most animal products, and didn't eat meat other than fish. A strong believer in Eastern medicine, he sought to treat his own cancer through alternative approaches and specialized diets before reluctantly seeking his first surgery for a cancerous tumor in 2004.

9. His fortune
As the CEO of the world's most valuable brand, Jobs pulled in a comically low annual salary of just $1. While the gesture isn't unheard of in the corporate world — Google's Larry Page, Sergey Brin, and Eric Schmidt all pocketed the same 100 penny salary annually — Jobs has kept his salary at $1 since 1997, the year he became Apple's lead executive. Of his salary, Jobs joked in 2007: "I get 50 cents a year for showing up, and the other 50 cents is based on my performance."

In early 2011, Jobs owned 5.5 million shares of Apple. After his death, Apple shares were valued at $377.64 — a roughly 43-fold growth in valuation over the last 10 years that shows no signs of slowing down.

He may only have taken in a single dollar per year, but Jobs leaves behind a vast fortune. The largest chunk of that wealth is the roughly $7 billion from the sale of Pixar to Disney in 2006. In 2011, with an estimated net worth of $8.3 billion, he was the 110th richest person in the world, according to Forbes. If Jobs hadn't sold his shares upon leaving Apple in 1985 (before returning to the company in 1996), he would be the world's fifth richest individual.

While there's no word yet on plans for his estate, Jobs leaves behind three children from his marriage to Laurene Jobs (Reed, Erin, and Eve), as well as his first daughter, Lisa Brennan-Jobs.

"One thing that I do notice is not too many [SNL musical guests] bring atmosphere change, so I really pushed to change the station into something different and I think I did a great job of that," he said, referring to SNL's famous train-station-inspired set. "I just hope that visually and sonically, it's a superior performance."

Rihanna Wears Literally Nothing But Dirt And Leaves In 'Esquire'

So, apparently when Esquire named Rihanna the "Sexiest Woman Alive" for its November issue, the editors figured, "Let's show off Rihanna in ALL of her natural beauty!" Well, they did. Like, a lot. In the most literal way possible—by letting her go butt nakie. (YES, NAKIE. NOT NAKED. WHY AM I YELLING?) Wow. And YEAH, we get it. Dudes like this sort of stuff and it's a guy magazine and blahblahblah but really? Seeing Rihanna barely made up and covered in oily wetness with random pieces of green stuff stuck to her just isn't fair! I mean, her body is IN-CRED-IBLE, so I'm not complaining, but ladies, do you feel me on this one? This shoot isn't doing her justice (OK, minus her fierce nails)! Let's take a peek at some more photos.

HOLY MAMACITA. Gulp. OK. Rihanna's hot. I understand completely. But is that even you behind that hair mask, RiRi? I can't tell. Also, that is legit dirt on her face.

Her beauty game definitely is of the au naturel variety. Her disheveled hair is a wee distracting, but that smoky eye is on LOCK. Her lips are a shiny soft nude color and her barely there blush combined with dewy skin is actually pretty perfect.
